38 families served to-date!

Since we began operations in late July, Basic Necessities has served 38 families in the ArkLaTex - and we will deliver diapers & period products to five new families today!

THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT SUPPORT FROM OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY.

You gave us supplies, money and love during our startup - and you trusted us to go out into the community and serve people who needed your support the most.

One Bossier mom sent us a follow-up photo after we delivered supplies for her young son and infant daughter (pictured). This young man greeted us at the front door & gave us quite a talking-to about making deliveries in the rain without an umbrella. He was very concerned that our feet were getting wet!

Currently, we have 24 families waiting on deliveries due to a temporary shortage in Pull-Ups and menstrual pads.

We have begun the process of soliciting corporate and foundation grants to cover these costs, and are excited to have so many referrals from community service organizations throughout the region.

If you'd like to donate products or money, please visit our website at www.BasicNecessitiesLA.com.

We will pick up product donations at your home or office, and your monetary donations are always 100% tax-deductible.

We are in this together, folks...let's roll up our sleeves and get to work!
